The reindeer (otherwise called the caribou) is found in extensive groups in the north of the world. Reindeer occupy both the Arctic Tundra and the North Pole districts which incorporate parts of North America, Europe and Asia.

The reindeer's hooves adjust to the season so in the late spring when the tundra is delicate and wet, the reindeer's footpads progress toward becoming wipe like so as to get a greater surface territory on the clammy gathering. In the winter, the reindeer's footpads contract and fix, uncovering the edge of the foot which cuts into the ice and crusted snow to prevent the reindeer from slipping.

The progressions to the reindeer hooves amid the winter empowers the reindeer to burrow down through the snow to the reindeer's most loved nourishment, a lichen known as reindeer greenery.

The reindeer's skin jacket has two layers of hide, a thick wooly undercoat and a more extended haired jacket which comprises of empty, air-filled hairs which help to keep the reindeer warm.

The reindeer ventures to every part of the uttermost of any land vertebrate with these relocations frequently containing a large number of reindeer. The caribou of North America can keep running at paces up to 50 mph and can go upwards of 3,000 miles per year. The most broad relocations happen in spring and fall. The biggest reindeer relocations occur in the spring and harvest time when the reindeer are eager and looking for sustenance.

The reindeer is regularly an endeavored focus for the expansive predators that exist in the Arctic Circle yet the reindeer is quick and moves in huge gatherings so the reindeer isn't anything but difficult to get. Ice wolves, polar bears, darker bears, people and the infrequent shark are among those creatures that chase the reindeer.
